New members are admitted by vote of the Annual Meeting of the Society, which is traditionally held on the first Tuesday of December. MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE ANNUAL MEETING CANNOT BE PROCESSED UNTIL THE NEXT ANNUAL MEETING,THE FOLLOWING DECEMBER. Please do not submit membership applications earlier than October, for approval in December following. The one-time fee for a lifetime membership is $10.00. Each individual elected to membership will receive a distinctive certificate, suitable for framing. To apply: For each applicant, send the name, mailing address, and (if available) the e-mail address of the individual, along with a check (payable to "Society in Dedham") for $10.00. Do not mail cash. If you wish to have the certificate mailed to someone other than the actual new member, include that instruction with the application.
